The overall objective of this project is to design and construct an airplane landing gear system that can deploy and retract. We could only use the MECCANO kit and an additional $50. I designed and put together the mechanical and electrical system and also considered the 4 bar mechanism, the mechanical constraints, and electrical constraints.

The design utilizes a 4 bar mechanism to allow the movement of the landing gear wheel and also incorporates a suspension system. The motor uses tension from the string to enable the deployment as well as the retraction.
